Hi Everyone,
The first of December is fast approaching and my youngest boy is old enough now to have an Advent Calendar. I love the Handmade Holiday Collection by Simple Stories and so I decided to make his calendar using some of the patterned papers from the collection pack. I painted the wood with a snow cap paint dabber to give it a bit of a ‘whitewashed’ look and used Rock Candy Dry Glitter on the patterned part of the house. The boxes were cut out using my Cricut Expression and the Tags, Bags Boxes and more cartridge. The number stickers that came with the collection were not quite the right fit for the boxes in this house so I used some from the Kaisercraft Turtledove Collection – Numbers Sticker Sheet as they matched pretty well and will be easy for him to read as he gets older. If you look closely you will see that there is a couple of bits missing from the chimney section – I tidied up my table yesterday and have put them away somewhere ! When I find them it will be pretty easy to just add them on.
